Friends, Countreyman, Lend me Your Ear on this One...............
Okay I had to write about this my cousin and I had a conversation last night about this statement "JESUS DRANK WINE" when a christian chooses not to drink anymore. Its a way of saying "well Jesus drink so why can't you drink anymore?" When exactly did he drink wine? At the dinner table with his family maybe or wedding celebrations ?? "Then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”(Luke 22:17-18) There is nothing wrong with having a glass of wine but, Jesus gives guidance on wine usage for the believers. Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit(Ephesians 5:18). When I did drink I could never just have 1 glass of wine or any alcoholic beverage for that matter, I wanted about 2 or 3 uhm okay maybe more:) So for me it's better to just stay away and not even temp myself with the fate of drunkardness. The temptations
in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful.
He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are
tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.(1 Corinthians 10:13) I choose to remain filled with the Holy Spirit, live in the day at all times and leave the night time where it's at. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in
sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.(Romans 13:13). With that being said if you choose to drink wine every now and then that's your choice and you are not going to hell for it just don't allow it to overtake you and don't try to pressure anyone else in to drinking with you. Amen

Drifting Away........
The Holy Spirit always brings this song to my remeberance when I'm starting to drift away. The Holy Spirit is the raft and the rope is this song that reels me back into the presence of God and focus on what he has spoken over my life. After all Jesus said he would loose not a one that the father gave to him. Thank God I am a Kept woman!
And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.(John 6:39)

There's No Fear in God
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. (1 John 4:18)
But when I am afraid,I will put my trust in you.I praise God for what he has promised.I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?(Psalm 56:3-4)
The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.(Proverbs 29:25)

Marsha Burns....Spirit of Prophecy....Small Straws in a Soft Wind
Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, "Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed."(2 Chronicles 20:20)
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:
You must rise above the circumstances that have created a place of despair in your heart. I have gone before you to establish your freedom from all darkness. But, you must access this liberty through faith. Take the time to re-focus and turn your concentration from obsession with difficulty to the victory that comes through obedience to My word, says the Lord. With Me all things are possible.
Luke 18:27 But He said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

Hungry,Tired, Aggrivated......No Patience!
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience.(James 1:3)
Phew, Today was a long day. It started at 6:30am with a Good Morning Lord, thank you for waking me up this morning and ended with JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL! It's amazing how the day to day grind of work, traffic, customers, family, hunger, can really test your patience. I made sure to start my work day off with praise and worship as soon as I opened up the store(Yes I pray my workplace down when I'm alone) but, of course my patience had to be tested. The closer I got to clockout time the more aggrivated I got. It's funny when you have a combo of Hunger, Tiredness, Aggrivation even the wind gets on your nerve! Finally the Holy Spirit started speaking (your patience is being test) over and over again until it stuck. Earlier in the week I had already recieved James 1:3 "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience" from my cuzzo by way of the Holy Spirit so I was already prepared for the test. I just wasn't prepared for it to come today at the hand of my work day and hunger pains. God is so amazing he uses the everyday things to teach and bring humilty in a weak area. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.(1 Corinthians 1:27) Don't limit God to strengthening you and correcting you on Sunday or at your weekly Bible Study. His class is always in session and he will always prepare you for the tests ahead of time you just have to recognize when he speaks (Class in Session)! Amen

Reading By Lamplight.........Bedtime Scriptures
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance(2 Peter 3:9)
For Yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.(Hebrews 10:37)
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.(Psalm 27:4)
Goodnite,
Lisa
